Although Swannanoa Valley Friends Meeting’s meetinghouse in Black Mountain suffered irreparable damage from Hurricane Helene, we continue to meet in person at host churches in our town and on Zoom. For information on when and where we meet, how to help impacted members of our community, or learn about our social justice and equity projects, forums, and affiliations, please see below.
Friends and visitors,
We invite you to join us for worship in person or via Zoom meetings. Our meetinghouse was damaged beyond repair by Hurricane Helene. We are temporarily meeting in person at St. James Episcopal Church in Black Mountain on Sundays at 2 pm.
We also have a mid-week worship on Wednesdays at 7 pm on Zoom. Please contact us at the following email to inquire further: zoom@swannanoavalleyfriends.org
We are a faith community in Black Mountain, North Carolina deeply rooted in the principles of the Religious Society of Friends, the Quakers. We believe that all people have within them the inner light of the Divine and so our worship is open to everyone.
Should you have any questions, please contact us using the contact information in this website.
